I use to work at this accessory store in the mall and a new trend are these really cute braided headbands. I thought they were adorablebut not for $5.75-up…just not reasonable especially for a little strand of cloth that goes around your head. After close inspection of the headbands while I was “working” I decided that they could be an easy DIY weekend project. I searched online to see how other people had made them but many required sewing materials….I dont know about everyone else but as a college student I didn’t make it a priority to bring sewing materials with me to school and I wasn’t going to spend money on buying them either. So I continued to search online and found this little tutorial. What these girls did was use old tights for the strands that would be braided together because they are elastic-y of the material…if you use cloth that doesn’t stretch well it is going to be a tight fit on your head so if you do make these headbands use stretchy material.
