A window inside life at Augustana College

Autumn is a good word

Guess what? It’s cold outside. That whole summer in the fall thing has officially ended. We are now experiencing real autumn weather, which in retrospect isn’t all that cold, but compared to what we’ve been having it definitely is a change. But on the plus side, they turned the heat on in the dorms so my room is nice and cozy! And just a side note, why doesn’t anyone say autumn anymore? I guess fall works, but autumn has a nice ring to it. :)

We are now in week 9 and if the craziness hasn’t begun yet it sure started this week. You can tell everyone on campus is getting stressed…I’ve got a bunch of long-term papers and project due dates coming up, but I got a good start on them this weekend so I’m feeling ok. Just gotta power through the next 2.5 weeks!

And…Homecoming is this week! Lots of stuff going on and I’m looking forward to Sing (think of Glee Augie style) on Friday! I’m doing it with my service fraternity APO. Also, the cardboard regatta is Saturday and I’m hoping to see it for the first time. What could be better than seeing people sink in the Slough?!

On a final note, I’ve been trying to figure out my study abroad plans for college that last couple of weeks, and I’m working on getting a program outside of Augie in Peru approved. If everything falls into place I could be in Cusco in the Spring! Fingers crossed. :)

Happy Autumn! Until next time. :)

This weeks song is Someone Like You by Adele. It’s super popular right now, but let’s face it, it’s genius!
