A window inside life at Augustana College

Week 7…..caffeine is my friend

Wow this last week and a half has been crazy! Tests and papers and concerts and meetings have been brutal! Thankfully, after tomorrow everything should settle down a lot! I got to do a lot of fun stuff over the last few days though. I volunteered at a soup kitchen on Saturday morning at Two Rivers United Methodist Church as a part of the Emerge program. It was great to get out in the community and help out. I also went to the choir concert. It was great! I was surprised to see how many people in the choirs I already know as an 8th week freshman.

Sadly last night was the last Emerge meeting. I don’t know what I am going to do with an extra 2 hours on Monday nights…I’m sure something will come up haha! Something always does! I love when I talk to friends back home that are seniors this year. They think that they will magically have a ton of free time once they don’t have classes all day every day. They forget about homework, tests, meetings, having a social life, being involved on campus, and all the other things the average college kid manages to cram into their day. Possibly the most important lesson I have learned all trimester is the value of caffeine and patience. Hopefully it will be a few days before I need to use that valuable knowledge again…
