Well, to be honest- it’s been a struggling week, what with allergies, being sick, and midterms, yuck. However….thankfully the weekend has much in store!
Which brings me to my next point: Childhood, and the fact that mine has never really left me. For example, tonight I will be going with a group of rambunctious friends for the last showing in theaters of The Lion King in 3D. Frankly, I am psyched! It can’t just be me…. but I can’t emphasize enough how important it is to keep that childlike…curiosity, sometimes mild immaturity close through the entirety of your life. I love the fact that I can walk down the slough with my roomie, and my day be brightened by seeing a frog jump into its eirre, gross green waters. I love playing with my food, and making designs in ketchup on my plate. I love climbing trees in the quad at 2am with friends, a last round of ghost in the graveyard before bedtime. I love the fact that I can still, as a 19yr old college sophomore, be mesmerized by a dragonfly landing on a rail. It’s all about taking a second to look around you, and never losing your curiosity.
On another note, today is officially the first day of Fall!
We’re nearing October, a time of making leaf piles, wearing warm sweatshirts, and preparing for the time of Halloween!
Off to study for my psychology test. Happy weekends everybody!
