A window inside life at Augustana College

Reflections on 2010

I haven’t written an entry in a long time. I always struggle finding the right words to use or wonder what I should say. Anything who knows me personally knows that I LOVE to talk but, writing about myself has always been something I struggle with. So I have decided to take a trip down memory lane instead. Hope you enjoy!

Brief Augustana update first:

I am taking 13 credits this term, also known as 4 classes and a 1 credit: Psych Stats, Contemporary Political Ideas, Constitutional Law II, Social Theory and a Research Practicum for Political Science.. I am also working a new job in Old Main in the History, Political Science and Philosophy department. I am busy but, that is nothing new. I am starting to make plans for law school. It was quite a journey to figure out what I was called to be but, I am very content.

Pictures of me from high school:

“No matter where life takes you, never forget where you are from.”

Pictures from this year:

“One day your life will flash before your eyes. Make it worth watching.”

What has changed and what has stayed the same?

The old pictures are fun to look at because I look different but, even 6 years later, a lot has stayed the same. I am still really close with my family. I still have three amazing best friends from high school who I am grateful for every day. I am blessed with new friends and a college to call my home.

I have not been without struggles in the years between which these photos were taken, that is for sure. But in the end, I am so lucky. I wake up every morning and I am very thankful. I am going to school, I have a healthy family and a bright future ahead of me. Happy New Years everyone!
