A window inside life at Augustana College

Meet Me Halfway: Almost Done with Sophomore Year

Can you meet me halfway, right at the borderline

that’s where i’m going to wait, for you

i’ll be looking out night n’ day

took my heart to the limit, and this is where i’ll stay

I still can’t believe I am HALFWAY through my entire college career. What is going on?! I am in Week Nine of my Sophomore year. I am going to be a junior next year. As usually my life has been very busy. I am being completely honest when I say that my life is almost always one busy, crazy adventure. I am finishing up my classes and they are going well. I have the formal for my sorority next week. I was able to finishing up pledging with my little sister, Nicole. She is such a great influence on me. Two weekends ago, we had our parent’s brunch. I didn’t see my family over Easter break this year so I saw my mom and sister that day. I miss them so much! I am very excited to spend time with them over the summer.

I was lucky enough to spend the short Easter Break with my grandparents and friends from home. I am absolutely blessed with the best friends /family  in the world. I never spent a moment alone. They keep me strong.

I got accepted into the New Leadership Illinois Institute that I applied for!!! I am so excited for the program this summer.

I have really been reflecting on my life lately. This whole year has taught me some huge lessons. It has definitely has it’s ups and downs. I am taking this amazing class in the fall called Victim’s Advocacy.
