Do you ever start to think that maybe your life is a cheesy middle school novel because there seem to be some obvious recurring themes? Yeah I usually don’t either. But the last few days of my life seem to be centered around one thing- dancing!
Since I have a little bit lighter schedule than usual this term, I thought it might be fun to sign up for Jazzercise classes at the Jazzercise in Moline. I have done this with my mom before at home during breaks and absolutely love it, especially because most of the people at Jazzercise classes are between the ages of 35 and 55. And lets face it, every one loves a middle-aged woman. I went to my first class on Monday and received such a warm welcome from the instructor, staff, and other participants. I will definitely be going back. In fact, my excitement about Jazzercise was so overwhelming that I managed to miss my first class of the term. Oops!
My roommate, Anna (not to be confused with Ana), loves to watch Dancing With the Stars. It turns out that there was a sale at Target this week on the Dancing With the Stars Latin Cardio Workout video. So of course we made a special trip to go buy it! We promptly put it in the DVD player and got to business dancing in our living room. Bearing in mind that none of us are dancers or Latin, it was a pretty entertaining evening. But, if nothing else, we got in a good workout and entertained the neighbors who happened to be looking in our living room window.
Later this term, Clogustana is going to be dancing at some of the homes for the elderly in the area, which will no doubt be a rollicking good time in its own right. Nothing like gettin your groove on, no matter how old you are!
Well I think its about time to cut the frolicking and hit the books. If I can stop wiggling, that is.
