My name is Jadyn Derr. Almost everything I love to do centers on travel. When I was 11, I had the opportunity to travel to Italy and Greece. Ever since then, I’ve been dying to see and experience everything I can in life. Since I’ve always been an avid reader, I’ve made do living vicariously through characters like Harry Potter and Lisbeth Salander. I’ve watched endless episodes of “House Hunters” and “House Hunters International,” always wishing to trade lives with the person living in a beautiful flat in Berlin or a cute farmhouse in France.
So it will come as no surprise that one of the things that I am most excited for at Augie are the opportunities to travel and study abroad. But I am also looking forward to the simpler experiences like meeting new people, living in a dorm with a complete stranger and exploring my new home and making memories with my new friends. I can’t wait until I can call Augie’s beautiful campus my home.
At this point, I intend to double major in communications and business, with a minor in either English, classics or both! All I really know is that I cannot wait to begin my college adventure.
