Name: Sarah Swindall “Swin”
Year: Senior
Major: English
Interesting Facts: I am President of the Augustana Quidditch Team and I talk about this sport almost every single day. I love to read and I am Harry Potter obsessed. I pride myself on the fact that I am the nerdiest person that I know. In my spare time when I’m not in class or playing Quidditch I enjoy writing fiction and poetry, vlogging on YouTube, and frequenting Starbucks. One of my favorite ways to pass the time is convincing various coffee shop employees that I am from Scotland. This time next year I will be teaching English to High Schoolers in Slovakia, a place where I don’t know the language and have near to zero contacts. Normally, this would be terrifying, but I am excited to start a brand new adventure. Augustana has become my home away from home. I met my best friends here, fell in love with learning here, and discovered who I want to be.

We were asked to bring a prop that represented our organization so that we could be identified [...]

Rock ‘em Sock ‘em Robots: A MOVIE
For all you movie-goers out there, I have a recommendation for you… Real Steel. This movie combines the awesome action of robot fighting and the plot development that Transformers always seemed to miss. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE me some Transformers, but anyone can see that the producers of that film were aiming more [...]

An Awfully Big Adventure

Of course, you will miss your parents and your pets and the use of a private bathroom, but college life will be so enchanting the first [...]
