Adult community planning survey
Revere Healthcare is exploring the feasibility of establishing an active adult community near Augustana College campus. If established, this community has the potential to benefit the college through an affinity group relationship.
The first step in this process is to survey alumni regarding their interest in the proposed project. The goal is to design a community to meet the lifestyle preferences of alumni ages 55 and over years and to provide for a full continuum of care.
We are seeking your feedback regarding a collegiate residential community that will provide active adults with access to courses, campus cultural and sporting events, libraries, health and fitness facilities, and a culture of faith and service. The proposed community is anticipated to fulfill a need for individuals ages 55 and over who are interested in an age-restricted community and a maintenance-free lifestyle. A list of possible services and amenities is included in the survey, and alumnu input is sought to guide the planning process.
The proposed community will utilize the newest designs for adult residential living, and may consist of single family homes, duplexes, townhouses, and/or apartments/condos. The design will promote social and physical health through ease of access and other design elements, as well as incorporating access to service opportunities, campus activities, and exercise areas. Construction could begin in 2010.
