Choir, Band and Orchestra perform Festival Concert in Chicago's Orchestra Hall at Symphony Center
We invite you to be transformed by a symphony of sound on Sunday, April 13 at 8:00 p.m. when the Augustana Choir, Symphonic Band and Symphony Orchestra perform a Festival Concert at Chicago’s famed Orchestra Hall at Symphony Center.
More than 200 talented student instrumentalists and vocalists in the three ensembles will delight concert-goers at the evening gala event with works including Dances of Galanta by Kodály; choral selections by Barber, Rutter, Whitacre and Gibbs; and Finale from Symphony No. 3 by James Barnes.
The beautiful and historic Orchestra Hall serves as home to the world renowned Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Designed by celebrated Chicago architect and urban planner Daniel Burnham, the stunning 2,500-seat concert venue was constructed in 1904 and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
Tickets for the festival concert, priced at $20, $30 and $40, will become available through the Symphony Center Ticket Office beginning February 17 (www.cso.org or (312) 294-3000).
A dessert reception for alumni, students, parents and other friends of Augustana will immediately follow the concert in Symphony Center. For more information about the concert and reception, please contact Nancy Wray at (309) 794-7336 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
