It's important you learn all you can about Augustana College, but we want to know you, too. An Admissions Interview lets us learn more about you than what your application tells us - and gives you a chance to ask us about whatever you want to know.
What is an Admissions Interview? It's your chance to tell us your story in your own words. It's not a requirement, but we may use what we learn from you when considering your application for admission. You can leave a lasting impression, even before you submit your application.
Why should you interview? You can ask questions in an informal setting. Usually you'll meet with the same admissions officer who will work with your application. We'll also waive the $35 application fee when you interview.
When should you interview? We offer interviews on campus Monday through Friday 8:30a.m.-3:00 p.m. during the academic year when school is in session. We recommend you interview before submitting your application for admission. Please call our office at (800) 798-8100 for information on summer hours.
What should you expect? Be ready to talk about yourself and your accomplishments, everything from your favorite subjects to involvement in clubs and activities, to how you spend your time on the weekends. And everything in between! Also, remember that you're making a first impression. You don't have to dress up, but dress appropriately.
How can you schedule your interview? Call our office at 1-800-798-8100 ext. 7341 or schedule a visit online.
Chicagoland students who have visited campus can schedule an admissions interview in our Chicagoland office in Lombard, Ill., after May 15 of their junior year. Please contact Courtney Wallace or Jenna Muench directly to schedule an interview.
