Why did you choose to come to Augustana?

I chose Augie because I wanted to study in a small school in the Midwest but still somewhat close to a metropolitan area so I can escape to urban setting for a weekend if I wanted to.

How would you describe your educational experience here?

My experience at Augustana so far has been amazing. People that I have met, both students and faculty, have contributed to make my college experience better. Unlike my friends who go to big state universities, I can always go and have one-on-one talk with professors about both in-class material and a variety of other topics. When it comes to students, I have met people from all over the world who came here to study just like me, and that is what connects all of us.

How would you describe campus life?

Even though Augustana has a variety of students from different socioeconomic backgrounds, there is some chemistry that connects all the students. Student life is very relaxed and lenient, but only because everybody is dedicated to their field of study and know why they are here. This connects them with other students with completely different interest and personal beliefs.

Describe a memorable class (or experience) and what you learned from it.

One of the biggest decisions that I have made in my life was last year when I had to decide a major. I came to Augie to study marketing, and ended up studying economics. This only happened because I had enough freedom to take classes I wanted that eventually helped my pick my major.

What advice would you give an international student considering Augustana College?

Go for it. Augustana's unique "bubble" gathers everybody under one roof, even though everybody is different in their own way. The best decision I have made in my life is going to Augie.
