Augustana College offers talent-based scholarships in art, theatre and music to incoming first-year student. These competitive scholarships require auditions or portfolio reviews in January and February.
Awards of $500 to $4,000 are applied to tuition and are renewed annually for students who declare a major or minor in art, graphics or art education, or who complete two studio art or graphics courses each year.
Prospective art students may submit their work to the faculty for portfolio review. They receive individual evaluations of their work.
Portfolio reviews will be held on Jan. 18, 2014, and Feb. 15, 2014. Applications are due Jan. 10 for the first date, and Feb. 7 for the second date.
Augustana College offers music scholarships to students of any major. Scholarships are renewable for fours years and range from $1,000-$5,000.
Students have a choice of three audition dates:
Jan. 18, 2014. Applications for this date must be received by Jan. 1, 2014. Students auditioning on Jan. 18 also must register for the Departmental Open House that day.
Feb. 15, 2014. Applications for this date are due Jan. 15, 2014.
March 15, 2014. Applications for this date are due Feb. 15, 2014.
Every year the Department of Theatre Arts awards numerous scholarships to incoming Augustana students who plan to remain active in theatre at the college. A student does not need to be a theatre arts major/minor to qualify. Augustana offers general Theatre Arts Scholarships and the Judith Katz Memorial Theatre Scholarship.
Scholarship auditions will be conducted on Jan. 18, Feb. 15, and March 15, 2014. For information, application and audition guidelines, contact Christina Myatt, firstname.lastname@example.org or 309-794-7611
