What did you do before Augustana? After graduating from the University of Iowa, I worked for the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Nutrition as a research analyst for five years prior to moving to Davenport.  I spent the next ten wonderful years being dedicated to my family. After taking some refresher courses at Scott Community College, I began working in the ITS department at Augustana College as a programmer analyst in 2000. With the campus-wide installation of Datatel Colleague, I moved from the ITS department to the Office of Admissions where my previous role as technical support liaison transitioned into managing the recruitment operations.

What is your favorite time/tradition of the Augustana school year? One of my favorite traditions at Augustana would be the Christmas  convocation.

What's great about the Quad Cities? The people in the area are genuinely kind and there are many varied activities available  for weekend entertainment.

What do you like to do around the community? I like to  attend high school activities, River Bandits baseball games, or take walks around my neighborhood or Vander Veer park over in Davenport.

Why did you decide to work in this field and/or at Augustana? I get to help high school students with a wide range of abilities complete their college application at such an exciting and important time in their lives.

What advice do you have for students who are searching for the right college for them? It is very important to visit and just ask a lot of questions.
