Douglas Parvin   Originally from Princeton, New Jersey, Doug attended Harvard University, where he concentrated in applied mathematics and economics. After graduation he worked in New York City for Goldman Sachs, where his work in artificial intelligence gave him a keen interest in philosophy of mind. Pursuing this interest, he left Wall Street to study philosophy at Tufts University and then Rutgers University, where he wrote his dissertation on the subject of how we conceptualize our conscious states. In addition to philosophy of mind, Doug has interests in decision theory, metaphysics, epistemology and philosophical logic.
