THE CARL B. NELSON MUSIC EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIPS-recommendation required

Carl B. Nelson Music Education Scholarship (February 8-9, 2008) Held in conjunction with the Honors weekend. For students planning to major in music education. Selection made by preliminary recording. Recommendation, recording and application due no later than January 8, 2008. Audition requirements

THE GENERAL MUSIC SCHOLARSHIPS

These dates are for the General Music Scholarships Audition requirements

		February 16 (applications due January 14)
		February 23(applications due January 21)
		March 15 (applications due February 18)
	I will audition by submitting a cassette tape recording (only if you live more than 200 miles from Augustana) must be received by March 1, 2008

	All auditions must be completed by March 15, 2008.

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS
All auditionees should prepare approximately 10 minutes of music and be prepared to sightread. Scales may also be required for instrumentalists. Vocalists are encouraged to memorize their selections and will be asked to perform a short vocal exercise conducted be a member of the voice faculty. Accompanists will be provided for vocal auditions only.
