The Augustana Jazz Program offers a Minor in Jazz Studies as well as many performing opportunities for both music and non-music majors.

Jazz courses include; Jazz Composition and Arranging, Jazz Methods, as well as Improvisation for all instruments. Jazz ensembles include the Augustana Jazz Ensemble and numerous Jazz Combos.

The Jazz Ensemble and select Jazz Combos often represent the college on a spring tour. Recent tours have taken the ensemble to the Valparaiso Jazz Festival in Indiana and the Eau Claire Jazz Festival in Wisconsin. The jazz program at Augustana hosts clinics and guest artists each year.
