While Joe Bright was working for Australian Attorney General Greg Smith, he participated in a Lunar New Year Party, where his boss was the guest of honor. At this event, the Attorney General was with Korean members of the community to celebrate along with other major political figures in the area. The night featured a Korean barbecue and karaoke. Also, every member in attendance received a gift bag featuring cultural calendars and new camera.

Fiona Hope took full advantage of the travel opportunities with her internship in Sydney. She visited the Top End of Australia, and in her travels she went to Litchfield National Park and Kakadu National Park.
