Why are you participating in the "Augustana in Australia" program?

To experience a different culture and gain experience in my field of study in the work force.

What value do you hope to add back to the internship site?

Joy, regardless of what we do in life whether going to class, working a desk job, or helping others in a personal way, we can be a light to a world in need of hope. I just want to do whatever work I am assigned with dignity and love for those I may serve.

What do you hope to learn on your internship?

I hope to learn practical applications of what I have already gained in the classroom. I want to experience working in a different culture and working with people of another culture.

Where do you plan to travel during your term "down under?"

Around Sydney and the Papua New Guinea in addition to visiting a few family friends that live within a few hours of Sydney.

What do you anticipate to be the highlight of your experience "down under?"

Spending spring break in the Great Barrier Reef and skydiving, bungee jumping and scuba diving!
