The Cancer Council is the leading cancer charity in New South Wales. Cancer Council NSW is an independent charity not funded by the government, with the bulk of its income being raised through fundraising events and donations from the community. Their mission is to defeat cancer through engaging the community. Their vision will be realised when lives are not cut short by cancer nor their quality of life diminished. Cancer Council NSW undertakes three important aspects of cancer control – research, prevention and support for people with cancer, their families and friends.
