Megan's pre-trip thoughts

Internship:  Wairoa School (speech-language pathology)

Why are you participating in the Augustana in Australia program?  To obtain clinical experience to better prepare me for graduate school and a professional career in the field of speech-language pathology from a diverse perspective.

What value do you hope to add back to the internship site? I want to be able to apply knowledge learned in my CSD courses and clinical internship experience at Augie to my internship in Aussie.

What do you hope to learn on your internship?  I hope to gain experience providing intervention for different types of disorders and gain more clinical confidence.

Where do you plan to travel during your term "down under"?  Great Barrier Reef and Fraser Island for spring break.

What do you anticipate to be the highlight of your experience "down under"?  I'm most excited to just live in Sydney and become a part of the community.  I am looking forward to embracing the lifestyle in Sydney.
