Lynnsey's pre-trip thoughts
Internship: Pulse Communications in public relations and marketing. I will be working in research and database management, assisting account managers, preparing press packs, and helping to manage events.
Why are you participating in the Augustana in Australia program? To gain experience within the industry. Want to study abroad, and Australia was the perfect location for me.
What value do you hope to add back to the internship site? Help promote/accomplish the goals of Pulse Communications. Use skills gained from past internship at the Quad City Botanical Center and knowledge gained in my communication and marketing classes.
What do you hope to learn on your internship? Figure out if public relations is the field that I want to pursue for my career. Learn the ins and outs of the public relations field.
Where do you plan to travel during your term "down under"? Melbourne and Cairns
What do you anticipate to be the highlight of your experience "down under"? All the amazing cultural opportunities/ experience all that Australia has to offer.
