Irene's pre-trip thoughts

Internship:   Wairoa School in special needs education.

Why are you participating in the Augustana in Australia program?   This study abroad program benefits my major while helping me graduate on time.

What value do you hope to add back to the internship site?  My skills and abilities in helping children with different types of disabilities will bring some value to the internship site.

What do you hope to learn on your internship?   I hope to learn new activities teaching strategies for intervention, building upon my coursework at Augustana and past experience.

Where do you plan to travel during your term "down under"?   I plan to go sky-diving over the Great Barrier Reef and visit New Zealand.

What do you anticipate to be the highlight of your experience "down under"?  Sky-diving and trying all the new foods.
