Internship: Cancer Council of New South Wales as a clinical study intern
Why are you participating in the Augustana in Australia program? I want to gain workplace experience, and also research experience. I have always wanted to experience a new culture, and Australia will fulfill all of these goals.
What value do you hope to add back to the internship site? I think that my hard work and positive outlook will add to the Cancer Council. I also want to use what I have learned in my classes at Augustana to add to my work at the Cancer Council.
What do you hope to learn on your internship? I hope to learn about research procedures, and also about cancers. I also hope to learn about the Australian community by participating in the Cancer Council's community activities.
Where do you plan to travel during your term "down under"? I plan to visit the Great Barrier Reef and I want to visit all of the beaches.
What do you anticipate to be the highlight of your experience "down under"? I think that I will love getting to know the people that I will be working with. I will enjoy the work experience and also the traveling.
Other comments. I think that this is a great program that really sets Augustana students apart.
