Emalee's pre-trip thoughts
Internship: Regional Media Works. I will be working in both TV and radio sales divisions and assisting the Head of Sales as required.
Why are you participating in the Augustana in Australia program? I am participating in the Augustana in Australia program because it will give me great opportunities. I have never had an internship before, so this will really help enhance my resume. I love traveling and experiencing different cultures and lifestyles, and I have always wanted to study abroad.
What value do you hope to add back to the internship site? I think I have good communication skills and am a very determined person. I hope my internship site recognizes that and gives me responsibilities from which I will able to add value to the organization.
What do you hope to learn on your internship? I hope to learn sales, because I do not have much knowledge on that branch of media. I hope to learn as much about media as I can and apply it to the real world.
Where do you plan to travel during your term "down under"? I hope to be able to go to the surf camp and go snorkeling somewhere. I have some friends in Melbourne so I hope to visit them too.
What do you anticipate to be the highlight of your experience "down under"? I hope to take every possible opportunity that is offered to me. I do not want to waste any days. I want to meet new people wherever I travel. I anticipate the whole trip to be the highlight of my experience.
