Brian's pre-trip thoughts
Internship: I am interning at What Media in business management. I will be helping to achieve the company's strategic business objectives and completing projects and day-to-day work for my supervisor.
Why are you participating in the Augustana in Australia program? It will be a great experience and will hopefully help me further my career after Augustana.
What value do you hope to add back to the internship site? I would really like to add value to whatever organization I intern with by helping them find ways to become more effective/efficient. I look forward to applying what I have learned in all of my business classes to this internship.
What do you hope to learn on your internship? Hopefully ways in which I am able to apply what I have learned in school to real life situations.
Where do you plan to travel during your term "down under"? I would like to make my way to New Zealand as well as attend a surf camp near Sydney. Also, if there is time I would like to go to the Great Barrier Reef.
What do you anticipate to be the highlight of your experience "down under"? Meeting Australians and doing extensive travel around the country.
