Sydney interns complete a learning community of an internship seminar and 5-week class on campus from November 18 to December 20, 2013. Interns leave for Sydney after the Christmas holiday.    A local orientation in Sydney takes place upon arrival and then interns complete a 7-8 week internship in their major academic field of study. Upon completion of the full-time internship, students may travel on spring break from February 27 - March 6, 2013. Interns will be back in the USA to start spring term classes on March 10, 2014. All interns must be approved by the International Office, the Dean of Students Office, their major departments, and CAPA International Education. An extensive application process is required, including an internship profile, placement request, and two letters of recommendation.

Program fees includes winter term tuition, group round-trip airfare, housing in 2-bedroom flats, internship placement and seminar, Sydney transportation pass, CAPA support and services, insurance, orientation and two day trips. This program qualifies for Augie Choice funds.

Students budget $1,500 to $3000 for living expenses while in Australia. These expenses include food and meals, recreation, refundable damage deposit ($150), and additional travel in Australia and New Zealand. Fees may increase due to fuel upcharge fees and fluctuating exchange rate.
