Summer 2005 Passau Trip | Summer 2003 Passau Trip Discontinued Summer Program (Passau semester program still available, Summer Program now located in Eichstätt)
Passau is a lovely picturesque town in eastern Bavaria, on the German-Austrian border and just a few kilometers from the Czech Republic. Situated on the confluence of three rivers, the Danube, the Inn, and the Ilz, the important Medieval-era town of Passau now is home to a renowned university, small businesses, and a thriving tourist industry.
Students with three years of German are eligible to study for one or two semesters at the University of Passau, where they take classes, learn about German culture, and can explore Germany, Austria, and other countries in Europe.
Click on the city names to go to the official town websites.
Students enroll in the courses offered to Passau University students and study side by side with native German citizens and other foreign students.
Students live in university dormitories where they have single rooms with a full bathroom, and where they have kitchen privileges.
Students basically pay normal Augustana tuition, plus airfare and various other costs. Contact Kim Vivian for further details on cost.
