  1. Rock Island, Illinois.
  2. Badlands National Park, South Dakota.
  3. Black Hills, South Dakota.
  4. Devil’s Tower National Monument, Wyoming.
  5. Bighorn Mountains, Wyoming.
  6. Cody, Wyoming; Buffalo Bill Reservoir, Mickelson Field Station, Absaroka Mountains, Sunlight Basin and Clark's Fork Canyon.
  7. Thermopolis and Wind River Canyon, Wyoming.

DATES

August 1

Students arrive at Augustana College. Use parking lots A1 and A2. The Fryxell Geology Museum, in the Swenson Hall of Geosciences, is located near the chapel and admissions buildings, 820 38 th Street. Afternoon orientation session with students and their parents, followed by class on campus.

August 2 Trip departs. Camp in Badlands National Park, South Dakota.

August 3-6 Camp in Black Hills, South Dakota. Visit Devils Tower.

August 7-8 Camp in Bighorn Mountains, Wyoming.

August 9 Arrive at Mickelson Field Station, near Cody, Wyoming.

August 14 Depart Mickelson Field Station. Camp near Wind River Canyon, WY.

August 15 Camp at Johnson Lake state park, NE.

August 16 Arrive back at Augustana College, early evening.

August 17 Course ends upon completion of final project, early afternoon.

August 20 New Student Orientation begins on campus.

August 24 Fall term classes begin.
