Ms. Roberts's teaching specialties include composition and poetry. A book of poems titled Brief Moral History in Blue was published by New Issues Poetry and Prose in 2001. Poems have appeared in such journals as "Another Chicago Magazine", "Black Warrior Review", "Cimarron Review", "Epoch", "Gettysburg Review", "The Iowa Review", "New England Review" and others. Recommended reading for college readers and college prep students would be any Anne Carson (poetry, fiction or essays), John Berryman's 77 Dream Songs and all of Keats.
