Jason Peters, Associate Professor
B.A. Calvin; M.A., Ph.D. Michigan State

Jason Peters teaches both British and American literature of the 17th and 19th centuries. His particular interests include Metaphysical poetry, Puritanism, Romanticism, and Transcendentalism. He is also interested ecology, nature-writing, and environmental literature. His publications include essays on John Donne, T.S. Eliot, Samuel Taylor Coleridge, Henry Adams, and C.S. Lewis. His current writing projects center on the works of Flannery O'Connor, Wendell Berry, and Owen Barfield.
