Career Center Offers Class Presentations
Last fall, the Career Center worked with faculty to deliver nearly a dozen class presentations in disciplines ranging from Accounting to Speech Communication. This term they have already scheduled presentations in Craig VanSandt’s Organizational Leadership class (Myers-Briggs) and Anne Boaden’s Professional Writing (resumes and cover letters) class. The Career Center can present on any of the following topics:
- Choosing a Major
- Interest Inventories
- Graduate School Search
- Resume and Cover Letter Construction
- Interview and Career Fair Preparation
- The Art of Networking
- Careers by Area of Study
- Job Search Strategies by Area of Study

News from Tredway Library
"East Hall Press at Augustana College, 1969-2007: Celebrating 38 Years and 23 Books" is the new display located on 2nd floor of the Tredway Library. The display, on view for Winter Term, demonstrates the steps in the publishing process, including students' contributions, and features the 5th edition of the Augustana Reader, published in 1992, and the most recent eight books in the East Hall Press list. This display is part of the on-going program "From Parchment to Pixels: The Year of the Book."
"Christmas Tree Ornaments from the Collection of Steve and Jane Bahls" features ornaments on loan from the Bahls' Christmas tree and is on view on 2nd floor of the library next to the reference desk, through December 16.
"Two Ink Stands from the Art Museum Collection," elegant and whimsical, light up the faculty display area just as you walk in the front door of the library. On view through December.
