The Dedication of Emmy Carlsson Evald Hall
Thursday, October 2, 2008
10:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Emmy Carlsson Evald Hall (formerly Carlsson Hall)
7th Avenue (Augustana Avenue)
Join President Bahls, Sharon Cramer, Ann Boaden, Bob Haak, and other college friends and members of the campus community for a short program, refreshments, tours and an open house for the newly transformed Emmy Carlsson Evald Hall, now crowning the academic corridor that leads into the heart of campus.
Embodying the second goal of the college’s strategic plan, the charge to “provide the necessary infrastructure for academic excellence and student growth,” Evald Hall likewise completes the second of the four major building projects of the greatest campaign in the college’s history, Authentically Augustana: A Call to Action.
In dedicating and renaming this hall for Emmy Evald, the college remembers the building’s origin and the authentic relationship of Emmy Evald’s work to the mission of Augustana.
