Faculty Teaching Observations Groups
ACTL invites faculty to consider participating in a new Classroom Observation Group Program. The goal of the program is to encourage small groups of faculty to observe and talk about their teaching across campus. A successful pilot program was run last spring with four faculty and is the impetus for bringing this forward as a larger program. A full description of the program is located here.
In short:
Groups of 3-4 faculty will be formed to observe each other's classes and provide feedback.
The groups will consist of faculty from different departments (disciplines) to encourage interdisciplinary discussion.
Mike Green will work with interested faculty to form groups and will help to facilitate the initial meetings.
The call will be for those interested in the fall term , but groups will be formed for the winter and spring at a later date.
If you are interested in participating, please provide the following information so that I can facilitate the groups.
Name
Fall course name/number and meeting time (if you are teaching multiple courses for the fall and have no preference for the specific class to be observed, please include them)
If you have any questions about the program, please do not hesitate to contact me directly.
