Faculty News


Rachel Magdalene has been invited to become an Associate Member of the Center for Middle Eastern Studies of the University of Chicago. This extends Rachel permanent research scholar status in the Center, where she was a visiting scholar this past summer. She was also elected Secretary of the Alumi/ae Board of the Iliff School of Theology, Denver, CO, on January 24 for a three-year term and attended her first meeting January 25-26.


At the annual meeting of the Association of American Geographers this year in Chicago from March 8 to 11, Norm Moline will be leading an all-day field trip:   "Inner Suburbs, Inner City:  A Mosaic of Stability and Transformation in Historic Cultural Landscapes" and presenting a paper as part of the Ecological Cities Project:  "The Mississippi River:  Catalyst for Ecological Actions in a Bi-State Metropolitan Area"


Ritva Williams presented a paper at the 2004 annual meeting of the Society of Biblical Literature! The title is "Social Memory and the Didache" and it is in the peer reviewed journal  Biblical Theology Bulletin Volume 36, Spring 2006, Number 1, pp. 35-39.
