The conference will consider SoTL practice in the context of today's higher education environments, with reference to the interfaces with students, colleagues, institutional and national frameworks. The following, not exclusive, strands will be addressed:

  • SoTL and institutional frameworks: the reality of SoTL practice, career prospects and SoTL, SoTL and the research agenda

This year's conference will embrace the full range of debates surrounding the "practice" of SoTL. It will feature in the plenary panel sessions and the new "Author meets Reader" sessions. All participants are encouraged to address the theme whenever possible throughout the conference.
