Faculty News
Sarah Horowitz and colleagues Pnina Shachaf and Shannon Oltmann (Indiana University) recently had an article published in the Journal of the American Society for Information Science and Technology, volume 59, issue 4, pages 535-550, February 2008, entitled "Service Equality in Virtual Reference." The study analyzes the level of service received by different genders and ethnic groups through e-mail reference transactions. An abstract can be viewed here.
Jon Hurty presented a clinic on rehearsal structure and technique at the Illinois Music Educators Association All-State Conference in Peoria, Illinois on February 1, 2008.
Daniel Lee recently had an article published in
Public Policy Forum entitled, "The Erosion of Ethical Standards in Government: Is What It Takes To Get Elected the Root of the Problem?" It can be accessed
