Center for Vocational Reflection

Departmental Inquiry Luncheons

Help your students to:

The Center for Vocational Reflection will provide funding for your department to host a luncheon of up to twenty students to introduce and explain a major in your discipline to prospective and early majors. Funding is limited. The purpose of these grants is to provide a setting in which students can begin to explore who they are called to be…and how that might related to your academic department. The CVR will provide training and help in organizing there events.

 Public Presentation

There is an opportunity to learn more about the great English author and defender of Christian orthodoxy, G.K. Chesterton. Nationally renowned scholar and author, Dale Ahlquist, will be in the Quad Cities on Saturday, February 16 th for a 7:00 pm presentation at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Rock Island. The event is free and open to the public.

Servant Leader Internships

The Servant Leader Internship Program gives Augustana first-year, sophomore, and junior students hands-on experience in church-related, non-profit and community settings. Students use these paid internships to broaden their understanding of their vocations, to test their interest in professional ministry, or to lay the foundation for lifelong habits of volunteerism.

Please encourage students interested in exploring their vocation to apply today. Application information can be found at our web-site, or by clicking here.
