Ann Boaden received the Davenport Public Library's Salute to Area Authors Author Achievement Award this past November. The award is given every year to a local author. Poet Dick Stahl asked to be allowed to present it to Ann and accompanied his presentation with a poem in her honor.
Ann also has work forthcoming in the following publications: "Helga's Valentine" (creative nonfiction) in the issue of Buffalo Carp; "Amnesty" (short story), just accepted by Big Muddy; and a three-part series on the first three women graduates of Augustana in The Lutheran Journal. The first part is due to appear soon.
Bob Grenier has accepted an invitation to join the Editorial Board of The Journal of Information Systems Education (JISE). JISE is the premier academic journal directed towards IS education. JISE has an established Editorial Board which consists of IS educators and professionals who are interested in improving IS education. The Editorial Board helps maintain the quality and relevancy of papers published in JISE.
Rachel Magdalene had her paper "'Judge My Cause, Decide My Decision!': Neo-Babylonian Courts and Their Jurisdictional Powers" accepted for the Annual Meeting of the Association for the Study of Law, Culture, and the Humanities to be held in Syracuse, NY, March 17-18, 2006.
