Steve and I are grateful to the departments hiring this year for the additional work they are doing to ensure successful hires. I hope that you will be able to participate in searches by attending a research or classroom talk.
I should also note the faculty development opportunities announced in the week four newsletter and again today. On the announcements page, you will see notices of both the presidential research fellowship and major project support.
I have scheduled the first of a planned monthly series of small lunches for colleagues to gather to discuss issues before us.
