Augustana offers a concentration in Management Information Systems for business students interested in applying the capabilities of new technology to fundamental business problems. Students in MIS use background in management and other areas of business administration as they learn to solve complex organizational problems while working with other people. MIS students learn to consider the system requirements of the global economic environment, and focus on providing as informational system that the end user can control and understand.

With specific coursework in computer programming, systems analysis and design and database management, Augustana's MIS curriculum provides students with the tools to design, apply and use successful information systems in organizations.
