2008 Business Day Chairs

Dena Haag (Pontiac, IL) is a senior at Augustana College majoring in Accounting and Business Administration with concentrations in Finance and Management. In addition to co-chairing Business Day, Dena serves as the Public Relations and Special Events Coordinator for Augustana Business Club. She is also a member of Augustana Accounting Association and Senior Legacy '08, works for the Augustana Business & Safety office, and is an Accounting tutor. Dena is currently completing a tax internship with Deloitte Tax LLP in Davenport, IA. She was a member of the football and basketball cheerleading squad from 2004 to 2007. Dena has worked for Deere and Company Headquarters in Moline, IL, John Deere Davenport Works in Davenport, IA, and M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX during her time at Augustana.

Katie Morris (Brimfield, IL) is a senior at Augustana College majoring in Business Administration with concentrations in Management Information Systems and Management. She is also completing a minor in Computer Science. Currently, Katie is a co-captain of the Varsity Track & Field team and the IT chair for Augustana Business Club. Katie is now working as a part-time student intern for John Deere in Milan, IL and during summer 2007, she interned for Caterpillar Logistics Services, Inc. in Morton, IL.

As chairs for this event, Dena and Katie are responsible for:
  • Promoting Business Day to area companies and requesting their participation.
  • Recruiting students to work on company recruitment, publicity, and fundraising committees.
  • Obtaining funds to support Business Day.
  • Leading entire set-up and teardown of the Business Day event.
  • Serving as master of ceremonies at the Business Day breakfast.
