2005 Business Day Co-Chairs

This year's premier job-shadowing event is being co-chaired by Augustana College seniors, Jennifer Dinges and Ben Sponseller. Their goal for this year's Business Day is to increase participation of both companies and students.

Jennifer Dinges is majoring in Business Administration with concentrations in marketing and management. She is originally from Sublette, IL. She currently serves as Fundraising Chair for Augustana's Business Club, is Treasurer for the social sorority Sigma Pi Delta, and is a member of Habitat for Humanity. This past summer she interned with Starved Rock Lodge and Conference Center. She recently completed an internship in the Corporate Communications Department at Trinity Medical Center in Rock Island, IL.

Ben Sponseller is a senior Business Major with concentrations in management and finance, as well as being an Accounting minor. The past summer he was a finance intern at Hospira, a $2.5 Billion hospital supply company, formerly part of Abbott Laboratories. He has also spent seven summers as seasonal management in the Food Service Department at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, IL. He is involved in various campus activities, including Habitat for Humanity, and is the Vice-President of Augustana's Business Club.

As co-chairs for this event, Ben and Jennifer are responsible for:

• Promoting Business Day to area companies and requesting their participation.
• Recruiting students to work on company recruitment, publicity, and fundraising committees.
• Obtaining funds to support Business Day.
• Leading entire set-up and teardown of the Business Day event.
• Serving as masters of ceremonies at the Business Day breakfast.
