Grant Incentive for Faculty

As an incentive to encourage those who seek external grant funding, the College provides Proposal Incentive Awards (PIA). These awards are granted after submission of a proposal or application to an external granting organization. The awards are $250 for proposals with budgets between $20,000 and $60,000, and $500 for proposals with budgets in excess of $60,000. The maximum award will be $750 in any given year. In the cases in which a proposal has more than one principal investigator, the PIA will be shared. Proposals submitted to more than one funding agency that are only modestly revised are eligible for only one incentive award. PIA funds will be provided either as a stipend (subject to taxes) or can be added to your Professional Meeting Allowance account tax-free.
