There will be two concurrent technology discussion sessions on Wednesday, November 19 starting at 4:00 PM
- RefWorks [Olin 305] allows you to download, manage, and store citations for your research projects. You can import citations directly from almost all of Augustana's electronic databases--such as JSTOR and all EBSCOhost databases (Academic Search Premier, PsycINFO, etc.)--or manually enter bibliographic information from books and other non-electronic sources. Once you've added your citations to your RefWorks database, use RefWorks to easily format your papers and generate your bibliographics--in any citation style! You can access your RefWorks database from any computer with an internet connection. Anne Earle will walk faculty through this important resource and answer questions about the program.
- Moodle Classroom Management Program [Olin 307] Shawn Beattie, Kevin Geedey and Jon Clauss will provide examples of more advanced uses of Moodle including the use of the grade book, Moodle quizzes, video clips and music downloads.
Join us for hot cider and appetizers starting at 3:45 PM on the third floor of Olin.
NEWEST RESOURCES for the Teaching and Learning section in the Tredway Library can be found here.
Our winter term ACTL section will feature teaching narratives from the Celebration of Scholarship and Teaching week from the fall term. The narratives address innovative approaches to group learning in the classroom. Our first narrative can be found at the link below:
