If you are interested in participating in a
Teaching Observation Group during fall term,
please let Margaret Farrar know by August 24th. We plan to have the groups formed shortly after that. Faculty who've participated in TOGs in the past have shared how valuable the experience was to them, and how influential it was for their teaching.
Here is a short description of TOGs:
- Groups of 3-4 faculty from any/all ranks will be formed to observe each other's classes and provide feedback
- The groups will consist of faculty from different departments (disciplines) to encourage interdisciplinary discussion.
- I will work with interested faculty to form groups and will help to facilitate the initial meetings.
- This call is for those interested in participating during this fall term ( We'll also look to form groups during winter and spring terms.)
If you are interested in participating, please provide the following information so that we can put the groups together.
- Name and department
- Fall term course name/number and meeting time & place (If you are teaching multiple courses and have no preference for the specific class to be observed, please include them all.)
If you have any questions about the program, please don't hesitate to contact Margaret Farrar.
