UPCOMING INTERNSHIPS & CAREERS WORKSHOP & EVENT DATES
Please encourage your advisees and students in your classes to attend...
October 31st - Don't be AFRAID of your FUTURE - Internships & Careers Office at 10:00 - 4:00
Come pick up your year-by-year career plan, shoot a photo in our career themed photo booth, enjoy a Halloween cupcake and enter to win prizes! (Faculty and staff are welcome to stop by for a cupcake as well!)
Our plans for winter term are outlined below. Please feel free to build any of these activities into your winter syllabus and encourage students in your classes and your advisees to attend. (If you are sending a whole class, please let us know so that we can plan accordingly.) In addition, we welcome the opportunity to speak in your classes or to student groups that you advise on any career related topic that you would like. Further, we can work with you to build career related content into your classes - from designing career related activities to securing professionals from the community to come and speak to your group. Contact us with your ideas! (JohnnaAdam@Augustana.edu)

INTERNATIONAL & OFF-CAMPUS PROGRAMS
After setting a record for study abroad participation last year, another exciting year around the globe awaits Augustana students. We just sent 74 students to East Asia, and we are expected to send another record number on programs this year, including students and groups traveling to the American West, Australia, Guatemala, Amsterdam, Botswana, Sweden, Hong Kong, Russia, Berlin and Greece.
But, there is no time to waste as the campaign to advertise 2014-2015 programs begin in earnest. We have another amazing lineup ready for 2014-2015, with term abroad programs each trimester, exchanges, short-term programs and a full slate of summer 2014 offerings.
As you meet with students, please encourage them to explore the IOP website (www.augustana.edu/international) and to consider all the options for next year. With such a wide range of programs, there is no major, no schedule and no financial situation that should dissuade a student from considering study abroad. Our office can help any student find a program they can schedule, afford and benefit from.
If you have any questions about upcoming study abroad programs, please contact Allen Bertsche at either email@example.com, firstname.lastname@example.org or at extension 8283.
