Community Engagement Center
With our continued emphasis on social justice for the winter term symposium, faculty may be interested in reading Service Learning and Social Justice: Engaging Students in Social Change by Susan Cipolle. Her "Stages of Critical Consciousness Development" may provide us with a framework for what we are hoping to accomplish, and her focus on service learning offers a pedagogy for doing so. Faculty interested in receiving a copy of the book and participating in a discussion of it sometime next fall should contact Ellen Hay. Books will be ordered in early May.
