Upcoming Events for Faculty in the CEC:

Viewing of the film "Pelada"
4:30 pm
Wilson Center
Tuesday, December 6

Two recent college grads document their global trek to find pick-up soccer matches. Witness former student-athletes wrestle with a future that may not include the sport to which they have dedicated much of their lives. As they reflect inward about vocation, they also use the lens of sport to understand cultures from the prisons of Bolivia to highrises of Tokyo. "Pelada" combines vocational reflection with intercultural exploration, touching on a moment many of our own student-athletes face as they step beyond Augustana.

CIEE International Faculty Development Seminars Info Session

Thursday, December 8

Each year CIEE offers up to 20 different faculty seminars, two week immersion experiences around the globe. For more than 10 years, IOP has helped to sponsor three Augustana faculty for one of these international experiences, leading many faculty to internationalize their courses or form part of new study abroad programs. Listen to some of last year's participants, find out what programs are available for the summer of 2012 and how you can apply for funding from both CIEE and Augustana's IOP.
